Color Picker for Custom Options - Magento extension that allows to show product custom options in different colors, shapes and designs.

From now on you don’t need to upload tons of images to display different color options - just pick the one you need from the friendly color selector or type in the color code manually! Moreover, you can still upload images for specific option if needed. With Color Picker, your customers will be thankful for saving their precious time.

Extension provides a high customization with distribution. You will be able to configure the sizes of boxes for swatch and tooltip options view. The system will generate appropriate thumbnails with selected sizes, so you won’t worry about cropping and resizing images for each option.

can be used for different option types: Drop Down, Radio Buttons, Checkbox, Multiple Select
can be used for any option besides color e.g. size, model, manufacturer etc.;
can be used together with Magento's default form inputs for custom options;

Good module for using images for custom options values

Quality

It offers a lot of useful customization settings and was easy to install.
I only give 4 stars because of the missing import feature. If you have a lot of products it is not practicable to upload the same images for every product again and again.
I managed the issue by using the image file name as value sku and running a simple Sql query:
UPDATE catalog_product_option SET is_colorpicker = 1 WHERE is_colorpicker = 0;
UPDATE catalog_product_option_type_value SET image = sku WHERE image IS NULL;
